2.  COMPOSITION:

3.  INDICATIONS:

1. Typhoid and other salmonella infections: it is the selected drug of typhoid and paratyphoid caused by the sensitive strain, and it is generally not suitable for gastroenteritis infected by salmonella. If the disease is serious, it can still be used when there is the possibility of sepsis;In adult typhoid and paratyphoid salmonella infection, fluoroquinolones are preferred (pregnant women and children should not use such drugs).

2. Hemophilus influenzae type B meningitis resistant to ampicillin or streptococcus pneumoniae, neisseria meningitidis meningitis and sensitive gram-negative bacillus meningitidis in patients with allergy to penicillin, this product can be used as one of the optional drugs.

3. Brain abscess, especially otogenic, is often a mixed infection of aerobe and anaerobe.

4. Severe anaerobe infection, such as infection caused by bacteroidetes fragilis, is especially suitable for lesions involving the central nervous system, and can be combined with aminoglycoside antibiotics to treat abdominal infection and pelvic infection, in order to control the co-existing aerobic and anaerobe infection.

5. When no other low toxic antibiotics can be substituted, it is often used in combination with aminoglycosides to treat severe infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as sepsis and pulmonary infection caused by haemophilus influenzae, salmonella and other gram-negative bacilli.

6. Rickettsial infection can be used for the treatment of Q fever, rocky mountain spot fever, endemic typhus, etc. 

4. USAGE and DOSAGE:

Oral.

1. Adults take 1.5 ~ 3g daily in 3 ~ 4 times.

2. According to the weight of the child a day 25 ~ 50mg/kg, 3 ~ 4 times to take.

3. No more than 25mg/kg per day for newborns, divided into 4 times.

This product is a bacteriostatic agent with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activities in vitro, including aerobic gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, rickettsial, spirochetes and chlamydia.
